Overview
VMware and Symantec have been working together to create a joint solution that will drive server consolidation and lower TCO by delivering highly available virtual machines. As of 2004, the VERITAS Cluster Server product supports VMware.
VMware and Symantec have also been working together to create leading data protection products for virtualized environments. Symantec’s NetBackup product, for example, won the “Best of VMworld” award in Data Protection in 2007.
